Prerequisites & iOS Compatibility
Ensure your iPhone is configured for Lock Screen customization.
Apple introduced Lock Screen widgets in iOS 16 and refined their responsiveness in iOS 17 and iOS 18+. To place a vocabulary widget on your screen, you need an iPhone running iOS 16 or later (iPhone XR, iPhone 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 series and above).
Ensure you have downloaded VocabPin from the App Store and completed initial language setup.
5-Step Setup Walkthrough
Configure your screen in under 60 seconds.
Follow these five simple steps to activate your vocabulary widget:
1. Wake your iPhone and long-press anywhere on your Lock Screen until the wallpaper gallery appears.
2. Tap the blue 'Customize' button at the bottom of your current Lock Screen, then select 'Lock Screen' on the left.
3. Tap the rectangular widget tray directly below the time clock.
4. In the widget selector sheet, scroll down and tap 'VocabPin'. Tap or drag the rectangular vocabulary widget into the tray.
5. Tap the widget once to customize your target language or level, then tap 'Done' in the top-right corner to save.
